A Family Business – in Muskoka

Glen McAulay began building homes and cottages as a young man on Kahshe Lake over 40 years ago. His sons, Brian and Mark, soon joined him. They too have always been passionate about Muskoka and are well known enthusiasts both on and off the lake.

Now, as Glen enjoys his retirement, Brian and his wife Julia continue to offer their clients the best possible experience – from conception to completion.​​

Brian McAulay – Project & Building Manager

Brian leads a team of skilled carpenters and effectively translates elaborate plans into gorgeous homes.  Over the past 30 years, Brian has managed hundreds of projects ranging from additions to complex custom homes and cottages.

Julia Harrison – Business Manager​

With a strong background in the corporate world and a shared passion for Muskoka, Julia manages the business with Brian. She is responsible for the management of financial and operational elements of the company.  She also oversees the marketing/promotion of McAulay Construction and actively engages with customers who are happy to provide 5 STAR customer reviews– resulting in “best in class” industry awards.

Together with Brian, Julia is ensuring that their next generation of McAulays will embrace the family values of honest hard work and an enthusiasm for summers on the lake!

Mark McAulay – Builder​
Mark is an accomplished carpenter.  Like Brian, he has extensive experience and knowledge in the building industry. Mark is an enthusiastic Muskokan enjoying bass fishing, kayaking, and time with his sons.
